A Southern Wedding

We just got back from a mini-vacation / destination wedding in Savannah, GA for my bro-in-law and his beautiful bride.

On the way there AC kept saying, "Go see Georgia's house!" And, "See Maggie? That's Georgia's boat!" or "That's Georgia's horsey." And Maggie, in turn, would squeal in delight.

I must say, I LOVED Savannah and would love to go back sometime just to shop. {And eat!}

The rehearsal dinner was at the historic Tybee Island Lighthouse, just outside of downtown Savannah. My in-laws did a fabulous job on a beautiful dinner. They had a low country boil...YUM...one of my personal favorites!

And, Forrest Gump stopped by to bring Bram and Kellye some chocolates.

The wedding was on the beautiful Monterey Square.

Monterey square is known as one of the most picturesque squares and is famous for the ornate iron work found on the surrounding homes.

And it is infamous for this beautiful home, the Mercer House.

Kellye did a wonderful job...right down to the tiniest details. It was a perfectly beautiful southern wedding.

{Don't you just love her dress?!}
{I thought the pom poms as they left the reception were a cute touch since Bram played football at UT...}

And I have to give a shout out to our awesome babysitter {who happens to be from my home town and is living in Savannah, attending SCAD}. Thanks, DJ! Thanks to you the wedding was a baby-melt-down free zone!

Although most of the trip was filled with super fun wedding events, we did manage to squeeze in some sight seeing...

And some shopping...

And some eating...

{This is the part of the Pirate's House that we ate in...the oldest standing home in Georgia}

We had such a great time that even this little set back did't seem to ruin the trip...

But, I do think AC was a bit bummed that we never went to see Georgia's house.

Maybe next time, sweet girl. :)
